A five-star hit at the Edinburgh Festival and a raucous sell-out at London's Other Palace, GIRL FROM NOWHERE started life in the UK.
In 2018, GIRL FROM NOWHERE made its American debut in New York City, as part of the New York Musical Festival.
Now writer/actress Victoria Rigby (Private Lives, Flowers of the Forest, Tell Them Of Us) and director Whitney Mosery (The Cursed Child, American Psycho, King Charles III) reunite for two special performances at London's iconic venue The Bedford, Balham.

"IF YOU HEAR THIS FROM ANYBODY ELSE,
THEY'LL TELL IT WRONG."
TEXAS, 1969. The country is bursting with the vibes of peace, love and rock ‘n’ roll. Fronting a rock band, raising some hell, Jeannie’s a disgrace to her mother and having the time of her life.
That is, until she’s dragged back to the oppressive small-town values of a home she’s outgrown. Stuck once again out in the remote Texas desert, Jeannie stews behind a locked door, desperate to escape.
This breathtaking new play stares straight at the collateral damage of a life led in search of a legacy, fusing electrifying live music with an extraordinary story that ‘packs a hell of a punch’.
But she has a confession to make first.
Set to a soundtrack of classic 60s music, GIRL FROM NOWHERE rocks out to Janis Joplin, the Doors, the 13th Floor Elevators and more, powered by a live band. Victoria Rigby as Jeannie Hogan is 'an electrifying rock chick: confident, sexy and volatile.'
In 2018, acclaimed singer-songwriter Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening, Songbird) joined GIRL FROM NOWHERE to compose original music for the production.
